Birthday cake for those who graduated from eye support to safety

Curtis Sliwa Founder of the New York Guardian Angels. Curtis started the the Guardian Angels in Bronx New York in 1979, it was originally known as the Rock Brigade, then the Magnificent Thirteen, one night Curtis had his patrol walking the streets of New York when they observed a woman being assaulted and intervened, the woman looked up at Curtis and said "You are my guardian angels" and from that moment the name has been carried by us for over 30 years.

The official logo of the Guardian Angels , we quite often get called the Illuminati, free masons and other not so nice names. The truth is the eye in the center is the all seeing eye of vigilance, the wings of an angel and the shield of protection and self sacrifice for the betterment and support of the people who support a just system and a safe society. The colors red and white were chosen because Curtis is of Polish heritage.

San Francisco Guardian Angels new blog!

The San Francisco Guardian Angels is an organization comprised of volunteers who give their time in the various districts of San Francisco providing a visual deterrence to crime by utilizing patrols of members identified by their uniform and red berets. Our mission is to provide an extra set of eyes in the city looking for potential crime in progress. We provide needle recovery and disposal to prevent the spread of disease.

This blog has been set up to provide a chronological database of our patrols in the city through pictures, stories and interviews providing an insight to what we do and who we are.

You can also check out our YouTube account for videos of our patrols in the city: SFGA YouTube
